Best employee scheduling software
My name's Garth Belic, Founder and GM of Pay Cat. We're a consultancy/payroll services business that helps organisations with finding and implementing the best workforce management software for their organisation which includes employee scheduling software - something we get asked a lot about! For ourselves as well as our many clients, we use MicroKeeper as the best employee scheduling software. What do you think are the pros and cons of that particular software? Pros: 1. Australian-owned and managed 2. Modern award and EBA compliance - their employee scheduling software has in-built rules and the ability to add your own customised rules to ensure that all your employee scheduling is compliant with workplace law. This is a big thing for our clients given the recent media coverage of wage theft and underpayments by big organisations 3. They're a full-suite cloud payroll software, you can create employee schedules from any locations as it's all cloud-based. 4. All your scheduling is integrated with all other aspects of payroll. This means time and attendance, payroll processing and employee onboarding are all on the one platform to avoid double-entries and manual data handling errors. Cons: 1. Not all of the modern awards are built into the system. Therefore, you need an external advisor or a payroll expert to help with implementing this accurately and correctly to ensure you're compliant at all times 2. The learning curve can be quite steep initially and requires an ongoing payroll champion/expert to manage this to ensure it's being used. However, this isn't unique to MicroKeeper but with all software
